Nikki Haley is an American politician and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018. Prior to her appointment as Ambassador, she was the Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017, becoming the state's first female governor and the first Indian-American governor in the United States.
During her time as Ambassador to the UN,
Haley was known for her strong stance on issues related to human rights,
including condemning the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government,
